The human body and anatomy has always sparked my interest for as long as I can remember. I am fascinated with how much the human body can take on and recover from. My life has always been involved with a medical environment in some way or another. From spine surgery to psychological disorders, I've become very ‘friendly’ and familiar with medicine. Since I was around medical paraphernalia so often, I decided to take an interest in it, not only for my own knowledge, but for my own creative purposes. That is when my theme around my art work really started to develop and evolve. I became knowledgeable on each medical treatment my body had to endure that the process of each treatment was never traumatizing, but more beautiful and inventive. Creating medical art work is a passion of mine, not just because of the asthetically pleasing qualities it has, but because of the personal messages behind each individual art piece and how they are representations of my physical and mental struggles that I have had to overcome.
